Your name and contact details will be used to provide you with any updates on your purchase. If you sign up for our mailing list then we require your name and email address to keep you informed of news and upcoming events.

 

If you attend any of our events, we will ask you to consent to having your photo taken. These photos may be shared on our website, social media, or with external parties such as newspapers. If you do not wish to be in any photos then you can notify us in advance of the event, or on the day of the event.

Payments are processed by third party organisations (PayPal if make purchases directly from us, or Eventbrite if you purchase your tickets via the Eventbrite website). When making any purchases of our tickets or goods, you will provide your payment information directly to one of these organisations. Payment information which you supply to PayPal or Eventbrite is not within our control and is subject to their own privacy policy and terms and conditions.

 

We do not hold any payment information from you and will never sell your information to any other organisation.

We retain personal information related to all sales and queries for two years.

 

If you have signed up for our mailing list then we will keep the information you provided indefinitely, unless any of the following applies:

b) You contact us to ask to be removed from the mailing list

c) The company closes down.

Event photos and videos will be kept indefinitely.

Who we share information with

Data processors

 

Wix

This data processor does the following activities for us: They are our website provider and store information of any orders placed through our website. Wix will send an automated confirmation and reminder email to you on our behalf, after you have ordered event tickets through our website.

 

Eventbrite

This data processor does the following activities for us: They process personal data on our behalf to help us administer our events. If you purchase tickets directly from Eventbrite, you will be required to provide your personal information, required for our booking process, through the Eventbrite website (rather than Wix) and they will share this information with us. Eventbrite will send you an automated confirmation email and your tickets on our behalf, after you have after you have purchased event tickets through their website. Other information which you supply to Eventbrite, for example, if you create an account or buy tickets for events not hosted by The English Wine Tasting Company, is not within our control and is subject to Eventbrite’s own privacy policy and terms and conditions.

  • Photos and videos taken at our events may be shared publicly on our website, social media or other marketing and information media.
